Valentino J Bianco, DO
Dr. Bianco is a board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon with specialty training in cardiac and advanced aortic surgery. He is widely published in the field of cardiovascular surgery, with recognition for numerous high-impact journal articles and national presentations.
He has expertise in thoracic aortic aneurysm management, including valve-sparing aortic root procedures, ascending aortic replacement, and aortic arch work. With a strong background in public health, he offers a data-driven, patient-centered approach for the treatment of complex cardiovascular conditions.
Dr. Bianco earned his medical degree at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. He then went on to earn a Master of Public Health degree at the University of Pittsburgh, graduating as a member of the public health honors society. He completed his cardiothoracic surgery training in the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC). He subsequently completed an advanced aortic surgery fellowship at UPMC, with high-volume training in complex open and endovascular aortic techniques. During training, Dr. Bianco received multiple awards for overall academic leadership and productivity in clinical research.
