Shelana Gibbs-McElvy, MD, is a board-certified specialist in physical medicine and rehabilitation. She provides bone, joint, and muscle rehabilitation to improve abnormal gait, muscle tone, spasticity, and dystonia. She treats patients affected by cerebral palsy, polio, multiple sclerosis, and neuromuscular disorders. She also offers musculoskeletal pain and rehabilitation for torticollis, sialorrhea, stroke, and amputation, as well as brain, nonsurgical, spinal cord, and traumatic injuries.
Dr. Gibbs-McElvy earned her medical degree from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine in Rootstown, Ohio. She completed her residency at St. Francis Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
She is certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine. Dr. Gibbs-McElvy is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Medicine. She welcomes patients ages 18 and older.
