Sarah Wittman, MD, is a family medicine physician who enjoys talking and listening to her patients in order to help them understand their bodies and their health. She sees the patient-physician relationship as a partnership where patients are active in their own care decisions. Dr. Wittman values the trust and communication inherent in building strong relationships with patients and their families, which is why she chose family medicine as a career. Originally from Newark, Delaware, Dr. Wittman attended the University of Delaware before moving to Philadelphia to attend Jefferson Medical College. She then came to Pittsburgh to complete her residency training in Family Medicine. Along with preventive and general exams, she performs dermatological treatments, such as biopsies, incision and drainage, and cyst excisions. She is also interested in sports medicine, women’s health, and mental health care. Dr. Wittman received her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. She completed a transitional year residency at Saint Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, Ohio, and a family medicine residency at Latrobe Family Medicine in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Wittman and her husband reside in Pittsburgh and have two daughters. Dr. Wittman cares for patients of all ages.
