Dr. Hagerty is fellowship-trained in sports medicine and musculoskeletal and interventional spine. She offers treatment and pain management for a wide variety of medical conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, and tendons, as a result of injury, illness, or disabling conditions. She also performs electro-diagnostic testing, including electromyography (EMG), to assess the health of muscles and the nerve cells that control them.
Certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the Pennsylvania Board of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Hagerty earned her degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her osteopathic internship at West Penn Hospital and her residency at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in physical medicine and rehabilitation where she also served as an attending physician. Dr. Hagerty completed the OSS Health Interventional Spine and Sports Medicine Fellowship, one of six annual fellows, in York, Pennsylvania.
She is a volunteer physician for the Pittsburgh Public Schools high school football program and is also on duty to help runners with minor injuries during the Pittsburgh Marathon. She actively participates in several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, American College of Sports Medicine, and American Society of International Pain Physicians.
Dr. Hagerty has medical staff privileges at Forbes Hospital, Allegheny General Hospital, Monroeville Surgery Center, and Wexford Health + Wellness Pavilion.
