Dr. McClaine is a board-certified general surgeon with specialty expertise in a wide range of surgical procedures, including laparoscopy, robotics, and endoscopy. She specializes in the surgical treatment of gallbladder disease, soft tissue disorders, hernias, colon cancer, and stomach and gastrointestinal diseases. She also performs breast and endocrine surgery and complex foregut procedures. A native of Clarion, Pa., Dr. McClaine received her medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, N.C., and her Bachelor of Science degree from Juniata College in Huntingdon, Pa. She completed her general surgery internship and residency at the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio. While at the University of Cincinnati, Dr. McClaine was involved in basic science breast cancer research and clinical research in surgical oncology. She is the author of several peer-reviewed journal articles. Dr. McClaine is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She holds memberships with the Central Surgical Association and the Association for Academic Surgery. She has medical staff privileges and performs general surgery at Jefferson Hospital and the Bethel Park Surgery Center.
