Dr. Michael Aziz helps women in high-risk pregnancies avoid complications and deliver healthy babies. He has expertise in treating diabetes in pregnancy, congenital fetal heart disease, and periviable pregnancies. He performs complex obstetric surgeries such as cesarean hysterectomy, transvaginal/transabdominal cerclage, and family planning procedures.
Dr. Aziz counsels patients about complex pathology to help them navigate difficult situations and decisions. He loves clinical medicine because it combines his passion for caring for people with his love of science.
Dr. Aziz received his medical degree and a master’s in public health from St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies. He completed a residency in obstetrics, gynecology, and women’s health at Atlantic Health System in Morristown, New Jersey. He gained further training by completing a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee.
He is a member of the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine State Liaison Network, the Pennsylvania Medical Society, and the Allegheny County Medical Society. He is board certified and a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He has published original research in both gynecology and obstetrics, and his work has been presented at national and international medical conferences.
