Matthew Lander, MD, FACC, is an advanced heart failure and transplant cardiologist at Allegheny General Hospital and an assistant professor of medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine. A Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, he specializes in caring for patients with advanced heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, cardiac sarcoidosis, and those who may need mechanical circulatory support or heart transplantation. As medical director of the Mechanical Circulatory Support Program, Dr. Lander helps lead a team dedicated to caring for patients with complex heart conditions. He works closely with patients and their families to explain treatment options, support informed decisions, and connect them with innovative therapies designed to improve quality of life and long-term heart health.
