Matthew K. Shaheen, MD, is a plastic surgeon specializing in general and reconstructive surgeries of the hand and upper extremities. He performs microsurgical procedures for arthritis, joint replacement, trigger finger, tendon repair, soft tissue trauma, and other conditions caused by injury or illness.
Dr. Shaheen earned his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. He completed his residency at AHN Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He gained further training through a fellowship in hand and microsurgery at the Christine M. Kleinert Institute of the University of Louisville in Kentucky.
He is a member of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Shaheen welcomes patients ages 18 to 65.
