Dr. Iwaniec works with a multidisciplinary medical team to deliver inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services to patients and caregivers at AHN. He specializes in assessing and treating emotional distress associated with chronic and acute physical illnesses and also treats depression, anxiety, panic, adjustment disorders, acute stress disorders, OCD, and PTSD. He performs psycho-diagnostic assessments, psychotherapeutic interventions, neurocognitive screens, capacity evaluations, and pre-surgical psychological evaluations. He is experienced at providing cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness intervention and training. His special clinical interests are stress, mood disorders, and anxiety related to acute and chronic medical illness. He speaks English.
