Mary G Cooper, MD Dr. Cooper practices full spectrum Family Medicine: she sees hospitalized patients at Forbes Hospital, delivers babies at Forbes Hospital, and sees patients in the office at Forbes Family Medicine, where she performs many different office procedures in addition to providing care for your healthcare needs. She also teaches residents and medical students in Family Medicine. Dr. Cooper received her medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh. She completed her family medicine residency at the University of Massachusetts in Worcester, Mass., where she served as chief resident. She is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Cooper holds memberships with several professional organizations including the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Pennsylvania Academy of Family Physicians, the Pennsylvania Medical Society, and the Gold Humanism in Healthcare Society, the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine, and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Cooper was named one PAMED’s Top 40 under 40 about her practice expertise. "I love taking care of families and people of all ages, which is what makes Family Medicine so incredible! In particular, for those building their families through pregnancy/childbirth and adoption. I offer full continuity of care with a dedicated team of colleagues and residents to provide expectant parent appointments, pregnancy planning, pregnancy care, delivery with myself and our Family Medicine OB team, as well as newborn and pediatric care.
