Marissa Barash, PsyD
Marissa Barash, PsyD, is a clinical psychologist specializing in health psychology, chronic pain, women’s behavioral health, eating disorders, and body image distress. Dr. Barash also provides comprehensive evaluations for spinal cord stimulators, bariatric surgery, heart transplants, and pre-surgical assessments for cancer patients. Her expertise extends to managing anxiety, depression, and OCD through evidence-based approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and supportive psychotherapy.
Dr. Barash earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and completed her undergraduate studies at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Carnegie Mellon University counseling center and a fellowship at the WPIC Center for Eating Disorders in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Barash welcomes young adult patients as well as patients 18 and older.
