Dr. Wiegand treats a wide range of orthopedic conditions and sports injuries, with a particular focus on the shoulder and knee. She has clinical expertise in meniscus surgery, ligament reconstruction, rotator cuff injuries including rotator cuff surgery, shoulder dislocations, fractures, and arthritis. She is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Wiegand has medical privileges at Jefferson Hospital and the Outpatient Surgery Center at Bethel Park Health + Wellness Pavilion.
Dr. Wiegand is a Pittsburgh native who earned her medical degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She completed her orthopaedic surgery residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Wiegand gained additional expertise during her sports medicine fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. During that time, she served as assistant team physician to the New England Patriots, Boston Bruins, and New England Revolution professional sports teams, as well as the head team physician at Curry College in Milton, Massachusetts.
