Dr. Larissa Casaburi

Dr. Larissa Casaburi is a specialist in cardiovascular, thoracic, and body imaging with expertise in MRI and a passion for research. She completed clinical fellowships in Cardiothoracic Imaging at UVA in Charlottesville, Virginia; Advanced cardiac imaging at Baptist Cardiac and Vascular Institute in Miami, Florida; and Body Imaging clinical at UNC-Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She holds a master’s in public health degree in Epidemiology and Master in Health Care Administration degree from UNC-Chapel Hill.

As a clinical research fellow, she collaborated with Dr. Richard C. Semelka on several projects. She co-authored all editions and multiple chapters of his book "Abdominal-Pelvic MRI," including the chapters "Liver" and "Kidney." She also collaborated on several manuscripts published in peer-review journals. She is certified by the American Board of Radiology (ABR), the Board of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (BCCT), and the Board of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (BCMR) and ACR CCT CoAP.
