Kathryn Cherry, PhD
Kathryn Cherry, PhD, is a psychologist with AHN Behavioral Health. She is skilled in treating perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, and trauma and stressor related concerns. She has training in several evidence-based psychotherapies, including cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and cognitive processing therapy. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Northeastern Illinois University and a Master of Arts in Social Science from the University of Chicago. Dr. Cherry did her PhD at University of Missouri at St. Louis in St. Louis, Missouri and clinical internship at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, in Houston, Texas. She completed her fellowship in reproductive behavioral health at West Penn Hospital in Allegheny Health Network. Dr. Cherry integrates evidence-based approaches in her clinical practice through compassionate and collaborative care. She emphasizes sensitivity to cultural and contextual factors in her relationship with her patients and in her treatment approach, and encourages well-being through exploration, expression, learning, and growth. Dr. Cherry welcomes patients ages 18 and older.
