Dr. Cohen treats children with post-traumatic stress disorders. She has experience in providing trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy to young people and is a TF-CBT co-developer. She has special clinical interests in child trauma, child maltreatment, and child traumatic grief. Dr. Cohen received the Outstanding Professional Award from the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, the Rieger Award for Outstanding Scientific Achievement from the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and the Sarah Haley Memorial Award for Clinical Excellence from the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and is a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. She speaks English.
