Juan Paredes, MD, is a general surgeon who is an expert in foregut diseases, digestive health, and abdominal wall hernias. He is skilled at minimally invasive surgery, laparoscopic procedures, advanced flexible endoscopy, abdominal wall surgery, peroral endoscopic myotomy (POEM), and peroral pyloroplasty (POP).
Dr. Paredes believes in using the least invasive surgical approaches possible, while prioritizing safety and long-term outcomes, to help patients recover faster and return to their daily activities sooner.
He received his medical degree from Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He completed his residency at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland. He received additional training through fellowships in minimally invasive surgery and foregut/advanced flexible endoscopy surgery at University Hospitals (UH) Cleveland Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
Dr. Paredes is a certified diplomate of the American Board of Surgery. He speaks English and Spanish. He sees patients ages 18 and older.
