Jennifer L. Carpenter, MD, is a transplant surgeon who specializes in abdominal transplants and liver surgery. She sees patient of all ages. Dr. Carpenter completed her surgical residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, and completed a two-year fellowship in abdominal transplantation at the MedStar Georgetown Transplant Institute at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. She also has a Master of Science degree in clinical research. Dr. Carpenter is board-certified in general surgery through the American Board of Surgery. She is certified in liver, kidney, pancreas, and intestinal transplantation through the American Society of Transplant Surgeons and is also certified in hepato-pancreato-biliary surgery. She is a member of the American Society of Transplant Surgeons and the Association of Transplant Surgeons.
