Dr. Jalaluddin Umar, MD, is a board-certified gastroenterologist with Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, PA. He earned his medical degree from Aga Khan University Medical College in Pakistan in 2012. He completed his internal medicine residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY, in 2017, and his gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship at the University of Massachusetts- Chan Medical School- Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA, in 2020. Dr. Umar is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). He is also licensed to practice medicine in Pennsylvania. Dr. Umar has a passion for sports, including squash, soccer, and tennis. He has also actively been involved in various voluntary experiences, including serving as Chief Fellow during his GI fellowship, Quality Council Member at SUNY Upstate Medical University, and member of the Student Support Group ‘Emotional and Mental Wellbeing’ and Mentorship Committee at Aga Khan University Medical College. Dr. Umar is a highly skilled and experienced gastroenterologist who is dedicated to providing his patients with the best possible care.
