Harsh Desai, MD

Dr. Harsh Desai is a surgeon with AHN Surgery Institute, specializing in trauma, emergency general surgery, and critical care. He is skilled at evaluating and treating critically ill, surgical, and severe trauma patients. Dr. Desai applies best-practice techniques and procedures to help ensure long-term patient outcomes. He sees patients ages 18 and older.

Dr. Desai received his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. He did his residency in general surgery at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center – Mercy in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He completed his fellowship in surgical critical care at ChristianaCare Healthcare System in Newark, Delaware.

Dr. Desai is board-certified in general surgery and is certified in Laparoscopic and Endoscopic Surgery as well as Advanced Trauma, Burn, and Cardiac Life Support. He has been involved in numerous presentations and publications for his work with severe trauma.
