Dr. Small is a highly skilled adult neurologist with additional qualifications in clinical neurophysiology, electromyography, and nerve conduction studies. He is director of the Electromyography and Nerve Conduction Laboratory at Allegheny General Hospital (AGH). He has special clinical interests in diagnosing and managing patients with neuromuscular diseases and botulinum toxin injections (chemo denervation). Dr. Small treats patients who have peripheral neuropathies, including diabetic related, inherited, and autoimmune related such as CIDP, as well as autonomic neuropathies, such as myasthenia gravis, muscle diseases and motor neuron diseases, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), multifocal motor conduction block neuropathy (MMCBN), and neuropathies related to monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS).
