Dr. Elena I. Fomchenko, MD, PhD is a fellowship-trained neurosurgeon specializing in the surgical treatment of primary and metastatic brain, skull base, and spine tumors. With extensive experience in both open and endoscopic approaches, as well as intraoperative mapping, awake techniques, gamma knife, and laser therapy. She is dedicated to providing her patients with the most advanced and effective treatments available.
Dr. Fomchenko's educational background includes a fellowship in Skull Base Surgery from MD Anderson Cancer Center, a medical degree from David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, and a residency in Neurological Surgery from Yale New Haven Medical Center. She is board-certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and actively involved in research, publishing numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals.
