Dr. Vanchieri is a sports medicine physician with the AHN Orthopaedic Institute. His specialty focuses on the nonoperative care of orthopaedic conditions. He cares for patients with a broad range of musculoskeletal issues, arthritis, tendonitis, fractures, and concussion. He is skilled at point-of-care ultrasound, ultrasound-guided injections, and concussion management. Dr. Vanchieri received his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania. He completed his residency in family medicine at Washington Health System in Washington, Pennsylvania, where he was also chief resident. He completed his fellowship in sports medicine at Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He currently serves as Team Physician for Mercyhurst University Athletics and Medical Director for the Mercyhurst University Student Health Center. Dr. Vanchieri is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine in both Family Medicine and Sports Medicine. He is also certified in Advanced Cardiac and Trauma Life Support and Basic Life Support. He develops treatment plans and sees patients of all ages.
