Deanna Nemec, is a family nurse practitioner, focusing on women’s health and post-menopausal issues. She performs routine annual gynecologic examinations, focusing on health promotion and disease prevention. Deanna is also able to evaluate a multitude of acute care issues, such as abnormal bleeding, breast concerns, painful intercourse, and other hormonal issues pertaining to peri-menopause and post-menopause. She is able to perform endometrial biopsies, vulvar biopsies, as well as removal and insertion of IUDs. She provides specialized gynecological care to women age 40 and older.
Deanna earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She received a Master of Science Nursing degree and Family Nurse Practitioner degree from LaRoche University, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She also holds an educational psychology certification from Carlow College in Pittsburgh. She has additional training as a hospice nurse practitioner.
She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, American College of Nurse Practitioners, PA Coalition of Nurse Practitioners, North American Menopause Society and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists. She speaks English.
