Daniel Cormican, MD, FCCP

Dr. Cormican is an anesthesiologist and intensivist at AHN, with clinical interests and expertise in cardiovascular, thoracic, and liver transplant anesthesiology, as well as in care of perioperative critically ill patients. He is the Surgical & Burn Critical Care Medicine Director, Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology Fellowship Program at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. He also holds the professional title of Cardiovascular, Thoracic, and Liver Transplant Anesthesiology at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.

Dr. Cormican has been acknowledged as a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians related to his clinical and scholarly work with patients suffering from disease in the chest and is appointed as an Editor for the Journal of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia.

He completed his fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at the University of Michigan Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology. He also completed a fellowship in the Cleveland Clinic Foundation Residency in Anesthesiology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Board.
