Colby Shanafelt, MD, is a cardiologist specializing in electrophysiology, which focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders. He is skilled at procedures involving pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators, lead extraction, and ablation. Dr. Shanafelt received his medical degree from Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed an internal medicine residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. He gained extensive experience through two fellowships, in cardiovascular disease and electrophysiology, at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia.
