Casey Jackson Allen, MD
Dr. Casey Jackson Allen specializes in advanced surgery for complex gastrointestinal, pancreatic, and liver tumors. He cares for patients with primary and metastatic intra-abdominal cancers, skin, and soft tissue malignancies, as well as those with rare diseases including sarcoma and neuroendocrine tumors.
Dr. Allen completed his fellowship in surgical oncology at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. He attained his general surgery residency at the University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. Prior to his surgical training, Dr. Allen received his college degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri and attended medical school in his hometown at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Prioritizing patient-centered, individualized care planning in his practice, Dr. Allen’s specific interest is in the implementation of evidence-based treatment pathways and preoperative optimization programs for his surgical patients. At AHN, he collaborates with institutional leaders to develop a value-based clinical research platform to improve care delivery to all patients. Dr. Allen strives to make innovative treatment options available to patients through translational research and clinical trials.
With his focus in value-based health care delivery, Dr. Allen has published over 70 research papers. He has been the lead author for numerous book chapters and has been invited to speak at national meetings.
Dr. Allen is dual certified by the American Board of Surgery in both General Surgery and Complex General Surgical Oncology. He is a member of multiple national organizations including the American College of Surgeons and the Society of Surgical Oncology.
