Arjun Lakshman, MD Arjun Lakshman, MD, is an internal medicine physician and hematologist-oncologist specializing in the diagnosis and management of blood disorders. Dr. Lakshman has expertise in treating anemias, thrombocytopenia, thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP), bleeding disorders, and thrombosis. He is skilled at performing bone marrow biopsies, managing complex conditions such as immune thrombocytopenia and TTP, and providing perioperative anticoagulation management. Dr. Lakshman earned medical degrees from the Government Medical College in Kozhikode, India, as well as the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) in Chandigarh, India. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Presbyterian-Shadyside in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, followed by a fellowship in hematology-oncology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Lakshman is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He welcomes patients ages 18 and older.
