Dr. Reichstein earned his medical degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland Ohio, and completed his general surgery internship and residency at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wis. He completed his fellowship in colorectal surgery at Michigan State University in Grand Rapids, Mich. He has received numerous awards and honors regarding teaching and research and has participated in medical presentations nationally. He has authored book chapters and many articles published in medical journals.

He is board-certified in colorectal surgery by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery.
