Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Adams provides long-term, comprehensive care to adolescents, adults, and the elderly, managing both common illnesses and complex problems. He specializes in diabetes, infectious diseases, hypertension, and reproductive endocrinology. Dr. Adams earned his medical degree at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and completed his internal medicine residency at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh. He is an assistant professor of medicine at Temple University School of Medicine and a lead instructor for internal medicine at the Simulations, Teaching, and Academic Research (STAR) Center at West Penn Hospital. Dr. Adams is a member of the Pennsylvania and Allegheny County Medical societies, the Society for Simulation in Healthcare, and the American College of Physicians. The coordinator of medical missions with Northway Christian Community, Dr. Adams participated in several international missions to provide medical care to underserved populations in Quito, Ecuador; Guiyang, China; and San Pedro Sula, Honduras. He acts as physician lead for the team working on the future direction of primary care within the primary care transformation advisory group at Allegheny Health Network. He also is the coach for the Saxonburg Spartans youth football team. Dr. Adams has medical privileges at Allegheny General Hospital, Allegheny Valley Hospital, and West Penn Hospital.
