Amanda Traficante, PhD is a psychologist with the AHN Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Institute at Jefferson Hospital who specializes in psychological assessment and child and adolescent psychological therapy. Her clinical interests include children and adolescents with social, emotional, and/or behavioral concerns.
She meets with patients ages 6-18 or parents/guardians of children with behavioral concerns. She also developed and leads the Chill Behavior Clinic, which is a 6-week virtual group for parents of children with behavioral concerns (kindergarten through fifth grade).
She received her Master of Science in Psychology and Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina. She completed an APA-accredited Child Clinical Psychology Internship at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania and did her fellowship in Primary Care Behavioral Health between Geisinger Gray’s Woods Clinic in State College, Pennsylvania, and at Geisinger Lewistown Clinic in Lewistown, Pennsylvania.
Amanda is a Licensed Psychologist who works with children and adolescents. She has a vast amount of teaching, research, and assessment experience. She has also published in the areas of autism and developmental disorders and given numerous presentations on various field-related research.
