Allan Philp, MD, FACS, FCCM is the chief medical officer for AGH, specializing in trauma, emergency surgery, surgical critical care, and general surgery. He is skilled at traumatic injuries, emergent surgical conditions, and ICU management. His clinical interests include trauma, complex abdominal reconstruction, and complex ICU management. He went to medical school and completed his fellowship in surgical critical care/trauma at Vanderbilt University Medical School in Nashville, Tennessee. He did his residency at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Philp is certified by the American Board of Surgery in both General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. He is affiliated with the American College of Surgeons and the American association for the Surgery of Trauma. He believes that care should always center on the patient and their families and sees patients ages 18 and older.
