Alexander V Kirichenko, MD, PhD, is the clinical director of both the Gastrointestinal and Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT) programs at the AHN Cancer Institute. He’s been a practicing radiation oncologist for more than 30 years, and he’s internationally recognized as one of the developers of liver SBRT in patients with hepatic cirrhosis. His clinical research includes high-precision, respiratory gated SBRT, as well as intensity-modulated, image-guided radiation therapy (IG-IMRT) to maximize organ preservation during radiotherapy of various GI malignancies. Dr. Kirichenko authored more than 100 publications in peer-reviewed journals and is an invited speaker to multiple national and international research conferences.
