Dr. Shaikh treats patients with leg swelling, leg pain/claudication, liver and renal cancer, and varicose veins as well as those who need complex biopsies and drainages. He is skilled at performing various procedures that include venous and arterial stenting, varicose vein ablation, chronic deep vein thrombosis (DVT) treatment and venous reconstruction, fibroid embolization, tumor ablation, kyphoplasty, various hepatobiliary conditions, GU procedures, and fallopian tube recanalization.
His clinical interests include DVT, chronic venous disease, varicose veins, peripheral arterial disease, hepatocellular cancer, fibroids, and renal cell cancer.
Dr. Shaikh received his medical degree from Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland. He is board-certified in interventional radiology/diagnostic radiology and internal medicine. He completed an internal medicine and radiology residency at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts. He received additional training through an interventional radiology fellowship at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. He speaks English, Urdu, and a moderate degree of Spanish.
