Tony G. Farah, MD, is executive vice president, and chief medical and clinical transformation officer for Highmark Health. He was selected by Modern Healthcare magazine as one of the country's 50 Most Influential Clinical Executives in 2019.

A renowned cardiologist, Dr. Farah also serves on Highmark Health's leadership team and led a value-based clinical transformation initiative for Highmark Health designed to save health care costs while optimizing members' and patients' health at every stage of the clinical care journey.

Dr. Farah’s clinical work, research, training, and mentoring alone qualify him as someone who has profoundly improved his corner of health care. He has taken on increasingly far-reaching clinician-leader roles. He also earned a place on Becker’s Hospital Review “CMOs to Know” list. He has extensive experience in clinical research and is widely published in medical journals.

Dr. Farah earned his medical degree from the American University of Beirut School of Medicine in Beirut, Lebanon. He completed both a residency and a fellowship in cardiology at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in interventional cardiology and cardiovascular disease. He speaks English.
